I recently finished up work in Alexandra College in Dublin and decided to treat myself to a new piece of glass. The Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8II.

This lovely piece of kit can see your soul in the dark with minimal effort and i have to say it is just dingin. I tried it out tonight out at BallyKeefe Amphitheater taking photos for Itchy Trigger Finger who put on an “awesome” performance. It was the first time to use the lens and i was a little wary due to its lack of zoom abilities but having flicked through some of the photos im well impressed! Hows that for ego!

I will be posting a selection of the shots over the next few days so keep an eye out. I might even put up a photos of Jimi’s OH face.
